Maude Vézina, Founder and lawyer

Maude Vézina has been practicing business, media and entertainment law for more than 20 years. She is recognized for her expertise and in-depth knowledge of the industry as well as her pragmatic and courteous approach that is focused on achieving results and meeting her clients’ objectives.

Prior to founding MV Legal, Maude studied law and economics, and practiced with prominent firms both in Québec and in Paris. She worked for several years as legal counsel for the Cirque du Soleil and senior legal counsel for Quebecor Media, which gave her invaluable insight into the creation, production and business realities faced by media and entertainment companies both in Quebec and internationally. 

Over the years, Maude has published several articles and columns in addition to leading conferences on commercial law and intellectual property. She has been also a guest speaker in France on commercial law with the Délégation générale du Québec during the Journées du Québec as well as with the Chambre de commerce France-Canada. Maude was also an administrator for the AJAVA (Association des juristes pour l’avancement de la vie artistique) from 2007 to 2009.
